The second “From the Rooftops” edition made us think: Suffolk’s solar ambitions need a skilled workforce to match the innovation that’s unfolding.
It’s easy to focus on technology, but without trained people to deliver solar projects, we’ll hit a wall. We need to invest in training, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local schools to make sure the next generation is ready.

This campaign from Ipswich.co.uk will feature real-world stories, industry insight and the organisations leading the region’s renewable energy transition. It’s a chance to educate, inspire and drive meaningful uptake of solar technology across Suffolk’s commercial landscape.
Why we want a seat at the table…
We’re committed to backing our people as much as our projects, but real change takes teamwork. We’re calling on local businesses, educators, and policy makers to help us build a strong, diverse pipeline of talent. Together, we can make sure Suffolk’s clean energy future is bright and powered by great people.
We’ve had great success with the team that we’ve built, the aspiring apprentices looking to specialise into this area and we’re excited by what we see.

We’re helping shape a smarter, more resilient energy future for Suffolk. Come and join the conversation and read the latest feature here:
