EV Installation
What to expect on the day
Access Requirements:
If your mains power or fuse board is located inside your property, we’ll need you to be home so we can access it.
However, if your mains power is external to the property, you don’t need to be present as we can complete all work externally.
Wi-Fi Details:
If you won’t be home during the installation, please leave us your WiFi network name and password so we can connect your charger and ensure it’s fully operational. If you’re happy to send us this information in advance then we can pre-configure the charger to connect once it’s switched on.
Cable Routing:
We discussed and agreed on the cable route during your site survey. We’ll always make our cable runs as discreet as possible, though they will likely be visible. Rest assured, we’ll use cleats to affix them neatly to walls and surfaces. Please make sure if you don’t plan to be in during the installation that you have specified the desired position of the charger explicitly.
Temporary Power Down:
To safely make the electrical connection, we’ll need to turn off your power for a maximum of 15-30 minutes. Our team will coordinate with you (or notify you beforehand if you’re not home) to minimise any disruption.
Arrival Time:
While we strive to arrive promptly, please note our arrival time may vary by approximately 30 minutes due to traffic conditions. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
What happens after installation?
Once we’ve completed your installation, we’ll send you a handover pack with quick-start instructions for your charger. Your electrical safety installation certificate and final invoice will follow shortly after.
