OZEV approved installer

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) will contribute to the costs of your car charging point and its installation in a scheme aimed at encouraging early adoption of EVs.

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints.


EV chargepoint grant (WCS)

The EV infrastructure grant for staff and fleets is for small-to-medium-sized businesses in the UK.

The grant covers up to 75% of the cost of installing the infrastructure needed for chargepoints to operate and for future chargepoints to be installed, as well as the cost of any chargepoints installed. There is a limit of £15,000 per grant.

You can get up to:

  • £350 per chargepoint socket installed
  • £500 per parking space enabled with supporting infrastructure


EV infrastructure grant

You can use an infrastructure grant and a chargepoint grant on the same property.

As your installer, Insight Energy will claim and manage the grant(s) application on your behalf.

Why should I get a home charger for my Electric Vehicle (EV)?
The safest and most effective way to charge your electric vehicle at home, is with an EV home charger. You can customize your device to charge using renewable energy sources, as well as monitor and optimise your energy consumption using a companion app.
How long does it take to charge my EV?
An EV home charger can charge up to 3 times faster than the traditional 3 prong electrical outlet and is the safest way to charge your EV at home.
How much will it cost to charge my car at home?
We cannot give you an exact answer due to the price of electricity changing throughout the day. However, all Easee chargers are built with the technology which will allows you choose when you charge your car dependant on when electricity is cheapest.
Am I restricted to which Easee Charger depending on what EV I have?
No, all Easee devices we offer are compatible with all types of electric cars and will adjust to the power that is available in your home.
How long does it take to install a home EV charger?
A straightforward install usually takes around 3-4 hours, however if at any stage we become aware that it may take longer our Team will communicate this with you immediately.
Can I use my Solar to charge my car?
Yes, we can install an Easee Equalizer which will allow you to charge your car from surplus solar energy.
